Who
is he?
Sean Combs, aka Puffy Daddy, aka Puffy aka P. Diddy.
Owner, CEO of Bad Boy Records who stayed in the producer's
booth until Notorious B.I.G was killed, when he began
to release records. He is usually lampooned for his lack
of rapping talent, which he tries to make up for with
funky danicng. This too, sadly fails.
What did he do?
Combs and girlfriend Jennifer Lopez were partying at a
nightclub in New York just off Times Square, when shooting
broke out. Combs and Lopez were in the back seat of a
Lincoln Navigator registered to Combs' Bad Boy Entertainment
when it was pulled over near Club New York on West 43rd
Street shortly after 3 a.m. Police said the driver, Wardel
Fenderson, 41, went through a red light before stopping.
When?

Charged?
Alledgely, Police recovered a 9 mm handgun from the
vehicle. Combs, Lopez, Fenderson and bodyguard Anthony
Jones, 34, of the Bronx, were arrested after several
hours of questioning at the Midtown South Precinct.
Charges
against Lopez were quickly dismissed. But Combs, his
driver and bodyguard faced arraignment on two potential
felonies.
Alledgedly,
Combs, Fenderson and Jones were charged with criminal
possession of a weapon and possession of stolen property
-- the handgun, which police believe was stolen. Jones
also was charged with two drug offenses, possession
of marijuana and of a controlled substance.
But neither Combs, Lopez nor the other two men faced
charges in connection with the shooting. A fifth person,
Jamal Barrow, 19, of Brooklyn, was arrested at the club
and charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
